  • Funds redirected to supports that help people with disabilities achieve more independence and become contributing members of their communities.

  • An expansion of proven programs that give people more say in how they spend the funds they receive for disability supports and who they hire for staff so they can best meet their needs.

  • Full implementation of new legislation passed in 2007 and 2008 that gives people more say in how they spend their disability support funds and helps people with disabilities more easily access housing in their communities.

  • To become a priority in state funding decisions that will help us lead more independent lives.
